In a statement released on his social media account, the LI President, Dr. Juli Minoves, said: "Liberal International condemns the attack. Our condolences to the families of the more than 80 dead. Our determination to fight for our way of life and freedoms is only reinforced by such atrocities."
LI President of Honour and President of the ALDE Party Hans Van Baalen MEP echoed the statement saying: "Once again, a sad day for Europe. Our thoughts are with the victims of the attack in Nice, and their family and friends. More than ever we will have to stand up united against fanatics and defend our open society of liberté, égalité and fraternité."
