Although many Thai’s remain undecided as two main parties battle for a post-junta administration, Mr Abhisit insists that many people in his country want an opportunity to evaluate recently adopted constitutional reforms and express their opinions on how day-to-day problems will be addressed after the elections. With voting anticipated in 2017, the Democrat Party leader added: “Elections will become a reality for the public as we enter the third phase of the National Council for Peace and Order [NCPO] roadmap.”
The Democrat Party will further advance its agenda in 2017, while continuing to work within the limits imposed by the junta. "It's clear there will be more debate, and people exchanging their views and opinions”, Mr Abhisit added.
